Adam Hussain is the Managing Director of Aldwych Legal operating in the non-reserved legal services space. He combines the practical perspective of an entrepreneur and legal founder with the academic discipline of a PhD researcher and has international exposure working across the United Kingdom, Qatar and Australia.

Adam’s academic record reflects a strong commercial and international law orientation. He holds a Master of Laws in International Business Law from King’s College London and obtained a Bachelor of Laws with earlier legal study at Bond University. His Barrister Practice Course training at The University of Law included advocacy, opinion writing, drafting with particularly strong performance in opinion writing and drafting.

Alongside his work at Aldwych, Adam is PhD doctoral research in Legal Science at Royal Holloway, University of London. His research examines legal services regulation, the Legal Services Act 2007, the regulatory perimeter between reserved and unreserved legal activities, consumer and SME-facing legal services, platformisation, legal technology, business-model design, competition, market structure and consumer protection. His research is directly connected to Aldwych’s practical mission: understanding how legal services can be delivered in a way that is commercially viable, ethically serious and accessible to the people and small businesses who most often need early legal support.

Adam’s is chairman of a Law and Human Rights Clinic in Cape Town, South Africa, where he supported domestic-violence survivors and juvenile offenders who would not otherwise receive assistance, delivered legal-awareness and counselling workshops, spoke in schools and helped coordinate educational activities for more than 3,500 children.

Adam’s international work includes Qatar and the wider Gulf legal market. As a Consultant in Doha, he has supported commercial, investment, technology and business-formation matters involving high-value private clients, investor-facing legal strategy, AI-related commercial structuring, property transactions, Qatar business launch planning, licensing questions and cross-border commercial risk. This Gulf-facing experience gives Adam a practical understanding of the legal and commercial issues that arise when businesses, investors and entrepreneurs operate across jurisdictions.

Adam has also been active in public engagement and legal-awareness work. He has spoken at a Legal Awareness Event at Arafat Business Centre in Lusail, Qatar, on English contract rights, commercial law and the legal risks that arise when businesses expand, invest and contract overseas.
